I know why I haven’t been using my blog:
1. My laptop is a lost cause. So the only time I’m online is at work and blogging would be unprofessional.
2. This was an outlet for me. And I’ve learned through the past few months that there are some things about life that are bigger than me. Things that consume a person to the point where inspiration is lost, complaints do not need to be told, and you just don’t want anyone to know. Which is a new feeling because I was the kind of girl that needed to talk my life out.

Anyways, its just a point that I’m at. Points are small. And someday I will get a new laptop.

Do you remember that feeling you get when you run to turn in a paper, make it in time, and then deserve to go shopping? I miss that feeling. [The best was one time when I ran, sprained my ankle while running, got it in on time, and still decided to go shopping cuz i "deserved it x2"].

Guess I need to run harder.

(maybe not everyone relates to this, I was a procrastinator and liked to find reasons to shop because I’m a girl)

La Nina is here and she likes to make things horribly unpredictable for our winters. Apparently La Nina is DEFINITELY going to make it EXTRA EXTRA cold. GAAHHD it was soo cold last winter already. Everything else is up in the air, there could be tons of rain or a nice long dry spell. So stick an umbrella in your car just in case!

FOR THIS! They just reopened the City Hall subway stop as a 6 turnaround. It was built in 1904, has been closed since 1945, began restoration in the 90s to make into the Transit Museum but cancelled due to 9/11. The Brooklyn Bridge subway stop was always my buffer for my subway rides when I began venturing the city alone. I could never miss my stop for home because I would get shoo’d out by the loud speakers. Now we can miss that stop, go through an awesome turnaround, and get off at the Bridge right after!
There are lots of closed/hidden old subway stops underneath that metropolitan jungle, but most are covered up and falling apart. The subway lines have changed so much since my dad grew up that he gets confused by the different stops and renamed lines. But these stops are so beautiful and historical, I am beyond giddy that we can sit on the train and view a restored one through the turnaround–I wish we could walk through it. The subway system is definitely an overlooked gem, but I think the millions of New Yorkers that use it do know its beauty, but are just too preoccupied to acknowledge it on a daily basis–got places to go and people to see!

To my dear JAbe, my one and only Japanese roommate,
I just got the cutest postcard today! It was from you! You’re awesome, the littlest things like that make my day now. Now that I’m stuck in that 9to5, work,tv,sleep-week, tiny little random things make smile. I’m so excited that you’re out and about America, working to change the way things are. I’m sorry I haven’t gotten to talk with you about it, facebooked you, or texted you. It’s hard to remember all the people you want to catch up with when brain-dead for 8hours at work and then drained at night from being brain-dead all day and then just wanting to sleep on weekends from the tiring week…remember how lazy I was with just school! BUT that’s no excuse! That is why I am writing you a public letter, my apologies to you apply to others (plus, you’re one of the few that actually reads my sparsely updated blog haha). I am sorry for disregarding the K.I.T. promise that we take when two people become friends. I love you to death and I know that you’re out and about, taking care of business, working hard and diligently to find and reach the future of your dreams. Can’t wait to catch up when you have time away from training!

OMG look what I found! I want to make these for me, you and bex!..Now if I only knew how to knit…

I want to travel too.

I want to fall in love with places that other people have fallen in love with. I want to adore the characters that roam the world. I want to feel the cultures that other people live by. I want to taste flavors that I’ve never tasted before.

Or be modest and visit cities in our own country. Or even be back in NY… maybe…

I guess you can say I’m jealous.

But I can wait, patiently…or attempt patience. I’ve experienced those things before and although it can ache (the travel itch doesn’t go away), other priorities have come up in life.

And I’m pretty content with where my feet are RIGHT NOW.

(But I DOO have 2for1 Virgin America vouchers… teheh)
